Teens Charged in Burglaries

Several area teens face charges by
the Elkader Police in connection with burglaries at the Elkader Public
Library. Back in September, a quantity of cash and checks were reported
stolen.
Careena Schroeder, 18, has been charged with 3rd degree burglary, a
Class D felony, while Andrew Hunt, 16, and Ashton Fridley, 15, have
been referred to juvenile authorities on the same charge. All are from
Elkader.
Also referred to juvenile authorities on charges of 3rd degree burglary
of a motor vehicle was Andrew Hunt and Billy Grocholski, 14, of
Elkader. The two are accused of stealing money from a vehicle parked at
an Elkader business.
