News Guttenberg Embraces New Subdivision Posted 13 November 2008 Members of the Guttenberg City Council recently approved a measure that expands Guttenberg's urban-renewal area to include small portions of Acre Street. A proposed subdivision for the area, to be developed by A. J. Spiegel, of Dubuque, will consist of eight single-family and 12 townhouse units. In other business, the council approved an ordinance establishing a $30 fee for posting electrical 24-hour shut-off notices, as well as the submission of a $250,000 to $300,000 Community Block Development Grant for water system improvements.
