News Fun Run/Walk to Benefit Elkader Posted 6 November 2008 The Elkader Fitness Cooperative will host its first annual, Fun Run/Walk to be held this Saturday, Nov. 8, beginning at 9 a.m. at Pony Hollow Trail.   The event will feature a 5K and 10K run/walk race. The registration fee for the event is $18 and includes an Elkader Fitness Coop water bottle provided by Alpine Communications and breakfast provided by Johnson’s Reception Hall and Catering.   Registration forms can be downloaded at www.elkaderfitnesscoop.com or picked up at the Back Stitch in downtown Elkader. Age group winners will win a one month trial membership to the Elkader Fitness Co-op. The first male and female across the finish line will be awarded a free six month membership to the Elkader Fitness Cooperative. Elkader Fitness Co-op volunteers are also selling raffle tickets for a one year membership to the cooperative which will be given away the day of the race. Tickets are $2 each.
