Obama to Host Local Meeting Next Week Posted 15 August 2008 Democrat Barack Obama has announced plans to return to Northeast Iowa for a Town Hall meeting next week Thursday, Aug. 21, in Oelwein. Iowa Congressman Bruce Braley will lead the meeting, which will begin at noon, at Luigi's Restaurant at 1020 S. Frederick Avenue in Oelwein. Obama's campaign also said the presidential candidate plans to open 10 additional offices in the state, concentrating on rural areas. New field offices were added this week in Carroll, Grinnell, Indianola, Iowa Falls, Muscatine and Spencer. Four more field offices are expected to open next week.
