Writer's Retreat Next Weekend Posted 2 August 2008 The Journey of Writing” is the theme for the Northeast Iowa Writers Retreat this summer. It will be held next Saturday, Aug. 9, from 9 – 4 p.m. in Dubuque at the historic Bricktown Brewery. Speakers will include Denny Eilers, freelance writer and photographer, from Luana; Sandra Principe from Galena, Ill., an author of several novels; and internationally-known mystery writer, Donald Harstad of Elkader.   Lunch is included in the $45 registration fee.
