Elkader Council Approves Jetter Purchase

In regular session earlier his
week, members of the Elkader City Council approved the purchase of a
sewer jetter to clean out city sewer lines. The jetter will cost the
city $53,000.
In other action, the council okayed the hiring of Ron Fiskus to conduct
an annexation study, with the cost not to exceed $6,500.
Central School Superintendent Brian Rodenberg addressed the council
about the possibility of moving the softball diamond down near the
school's football and baseball fields.The softball field was heavily
damaged in the recent flood. The council took no action on the topic.
