Elgin Sweet Corn Days this Saturday Posted 29 July 2008 Elgin Sweet Corn Days will be held this Saturday, Aug. 2. Activities will bet started early at the festival's 5K Butter Fun Run/Walk to be held at the Elgin City Park beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning. The Corn Cob Regatta will begin at 2 p.m. Free sweet corn will be available at the Elgin City Park from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Saturday night. Featured events at the park will be a sweet corn eating contest, kiddie tractor pull, hayrides and more.
