Police Still Seeking Stabbing Suspect
Posted 27 July 2008
Law enforcement officials in
Postville continue to seek Noberto Luna, 47, for allegedly stabbing two men early Thursday, July 24, in
Postville.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Luna. It accuses him of two
counts of attempted murder and two counts of assault causing serious
injury.
Authorities believe Luna may be driving a green, early 1990s model Ford
Aerostar with the Illinois license plate 946 5817.
Irving Villarreal, 19, suffered a non-critical stab wound. He was
treated and later released from an area hospital. Ricardo Salinas, 37,
was airlifted to a Wisconsin hospital for a serious stab wound and was
in fair condition Friday.
The two separate incidents happened Thursday about 2:50 a.m. near
apartments at 101 Tilden Street and 242 N. Lawler Street in Postville
where one of the men was staying. Officials are not sure what led to
the stabbings.
Police say the three men are acquaintances who work in the city but are
not residents.
